Vlastislav Matoušek studied composition and music theory at the AMU Faculty of Music, where in 2001 he defended his dissertation on Kinetics in ethnic music and received a doctorate in the field of music theory, in 2004 he was appointed associate professor. He lectured on music-theoretical subjects, especially ethnomusicology, at the Department of Music Theory at HAMU and the Institute of Musicology of the Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague. In 1996, as a Japan Foundation scholarship holder, he studied shakuhachi flute with Kifu Mitsuhashi in Tokyo. He worked as a music columnist with Czech Radio. He is the author of many compositions, often with the participation of exotic instruments and electronics. He performs concerts on the shakuhachi, presents contemporary music and his own compositions with his Ensemble 108 Hz. He plays and sings music from the Gothic period with the family ensemble Schola Specialis Familiae on historical instruments. In 2022, he received the Order of the Rising Sun with Golden Rays and Rosette for his exceptional contribution to friendly relations between Japan and the Czech Republic in the field of music.

Josef Mazan is a classical music guitarist and composer. After studies at the Prague Conservatory, he continued at the Faculty of Music of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, where he defended his Doctor of Arts degree in 2017. He performs at concerts and recitals in Europe and Asia. In 2022, Josef Mazan won first prize in the Zwolle International Guitar Competition in Holland. He was a scholarship holder of the NČHF during 2001 – 2003 years.

Anežka Matoušková, a young artist working in Prague who is currently studying jazz singing at the AMU Faculty of Music and Dance. She is a member of Avokaduo, where she sings and plays the guitar original folk-jazz songs, works in the seven-member experimental jazz ensemble Uthando, occasionally performs at concerts of contemporary classical music. She is also an extraordinary improviser and composer. As a member of the PMP Orchestra, she took part in performances of works by Anthony Braxton and Roscoe Mitchell.
